Here are my winnings........our local auction on the internet..........

The ottoman will be used either in the great room (I have a Ethan Allen table in there now but the grand-kids scratch it up) will be better for the grand-kids. This ottoman was less than $135.00.
The picture I wanted for the frame. It was less than $40.00. I don't know where this will go yet?
I just love auctions.
I adore beautiful frames and a lot of times I will buy the picture for the frame or the photo and change them out to fit the look I am trying to get. I have 9 pictures that I recently bought over the last 4 months in the over all scheme of getting some unfinished business done in completing my decorating before summer of 2009. A lot of planning; I make list for each room and what I think I want to do and then keep that list in my purse and when I go shopping I pull my list out. It helps keep me focused on my vision.

Hi Blossom! I love internet auctions. Just wish I had a faster computer (ie. slow dial up internet!) because most times I get outbidded in the last two seconds! But looks like you did really well here and the grandkids will love climbing all over that ottoman! The picture & frame is beautiful too. Thanks for stopping by my blog. You should try refinishing something - just start with something small. And they say adding "black" to your rooms gives it sophistication - so I am all for that! so you can always spray paint! Good luck! ~ Laurie

Laurie, spray paint is like glue to me. I spray paint lots of items, but never furniture.
I spray flowers fresh and silk and that's not hard; with furniture it's " I don't want to mess it up".

Blossom, I love auctions, too! We do not have a local internet auction. It's probably a good thing. You got a great deal on a fabulous ottoman! And I love the picture frame, too! I also spray paint a lot of florals. I think it's a designers trick. Hopefully our blog friends will try it and see how easy it is. I spray paint a lot of things, too. But, I am like you. I don't do furniture unless I really don't care much about the piece.
Hugs, Terrie

That's a great ottoman and what a great price!!!

Blossom,

Oh yeah I've been selling fulltime on ebay for over 8 yrs and I also teach classes on how to sell on ebay. In fact my success on ebay is what enabled us to start the custom rug business. We also sell on etsy & Amazon. I was really wanting more blog hints & tricks. Thanks for entering the giveaway!

I love auctions too and go to one out in the country every Wednesday. Three football field size fields and an indoor auction all going on at the same time. It's fantastic. I blogged about some finds a couple of months ago, stop by and look through my old posts to see the treasures I found.

I love frames too and like to turn them into chalkboards.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Blossom,
It looks like you "scored". I love auctions too. Our town has an "on-line" type garage sale complete with photos. It's amazing what you can find and the money you can save if you take the time! Good job! Be sure to post a picture of your lovely ottoman once you get it in your family room.
Warmly,
Alisa - Carolina Panache
