A New Look for an Old Lamp...........

I felt a little craft...ie last night so I decided to give the old look of an old lamp a little make over; adding feathers was just the right touch. This is going in the office that will eventually get a
new face lift also. My favorite tool used a "Glue Gun".

I love the feathers! Too fun! I agree with you - the Glue Gun is my favorite tool. I think you could build a house with one! I made the mistake of buying a high-temperature glue gun a while back - Ouch! I think my fingers would love it if I go back to the old low-temperature gun! LOL :)

Happy New Year
I ventured here from another blog and I'm glad I did!
I really like what you did to that lamp. It looks so whimisically original. Well i can't wait to see how it looks in the room when it has its makeover.
I'll be back again..
come by for a visit when you have some time.

Hi Blossom :)

I love it! I want to do something to my lampshades too, but .... um I guess now isn't the time LOL

I bought a glue gun, but it didn't come with glue sticks (Why, I don't know) So I'll have to get some next time I'm out :)

Thank you so much for the sweet things you wrote. Yep, I feel much better ;)

Hi Blossom...Don't feathers make the biggest statement...it's like they are saying, "Hey, look at me, I'm special"...I love them!

Blossom ... even your name is cute! Thank you for being so candid regarding the quest for weight loss. I just finished a conversation with my sister who is five years younger than me and has smoked since she was a teen. She has tried over and over again to stop but hasn't been successful for much longer than a few months. She is beginning to experience all the lung issues that accompany smoking and just share with me that she hasn't smoked now for a few weeks. I am so proud of her and so want her to quit ... she has a rather bad cough that I worry about. Good for you that you were able to stop! Now get downstairs and use that treadmill each and every day for at least 30 minutes !!!!!

Oh so pretty, I just love it!! I once decorated an old wall lamp. I think My Aunt picked it up at a garage sale years ago. I wrapped it in pretty floral fabric and used the glue gun to glue trim with beads!!! Cute, sparkly beads.
I have no sense of style, but it's cute :)

I love your blog.
