Dressing our windows for success..........Our piece of mind.....

Walking thu my home last night I took note of each window and how it was dressed. Ugh!

I need to make some changes. I will revamp some drapes and keep some the way they are,
but some will "just have to go".

Here are some inspiration window treatments that caught my eye when searching for window coverings.

I like the accessories to look as nice as the drapes themselves. Hobby Lobby and some of the
major department stores have really up graded their look of these accessories. My daughter
loves to shop at Home Goods, Bed Bath and Beyond are two of her favorites. I tend to go toward
the fashion as big is better; but I am finding out that, that is not always true. I love the black
tie back on the top page of my blog wrapped around a urn and I know it will not stay there, I just don't know where it's home will be. I know for sure that the black drapes in my master bedroom and bath will stay. The black silk and creme underlining is just perfect for my bedding. Also see the photo is my blog screen picture.

I hope you enjoyed these photos; what's on your windows? Please post and give me some more ideas. My windows need heavy to bulk the rooms up or maybe I need a interior designer! Gosh,
what a deli ma to have.

Hi Blossom! I understand...I just revamped some of my drapes. I was lucky because I still like them. All I did was take them off the rod and add clips to a new frenchier rod. I have been running behind...posting too much and not visiting enough. I need to go back through your posts and see what I've missed! Do you know about our GA bloggers luncheon? Info is on my sidebar. I would love to get to meet you! How's your Mom? Have a great weekend...hugs...Debbie

Good morning .... My living room, dining room, loft windows all have simple blinds. I usually keep them up to allow the spectacular scenery in .... my bedroom has mosquito netting panels ... again to let the wonderful pines in ... no one can see in my windows so it all works!

Hi Blossum, :)
I'm so happy to have heard from you today!
I hope you have been feeling better.
Is your back doing okay now?

I hear you on draperies. To me they are hands down one of the most important aspects of home decor'. I think they give a room an a finished look in a instant. I love the warmth and coziness. A room without drapes leaves me feeling cold for some reason.

I adore all the ones you picked out for inspiration.
~Gorgeous designs!

Let us know what you decide on.
Have a wonderful weekend my friend.

Oh how appropriate for you to blog about drapes. I just posted a tutorial on making drapes. I am in the process of making some for the family and breakfast rooms. I so agree that they really add life and drama and just the perfect finishing touch to a room. I can't wait to see what you do. Hugs, Marty

Hi Anita...

I'm so glad that you stopped by my place and took a peek at my ebay ironstone bargain...thank you so much for your sweet comments!!!

Well my friend, I hate to admit it but I have so many "interior design addictions"...hehe!!! One of them being pretty drapes and rods! I have gone through my home this past year and replaced all of my drapes and yet I still find myself looking at pretty drapes and if I bought them...where I could use them! hehe!!! I don't know if you got a chance to look at my "frenchy studio/office" posts or not, but I just dressed the window in there with the prettiest Waverly toile drapes...they have a "juliet" valance and I just adore that style! If you get a chance take a peek!

Thank you for posting the drapery photos...I'm tellin' ya...I enjoyed them like a junkie enjoys his drugs! Hehe!!! Ohhh that sounded so crude but I doooo love my drapes!!!

Warmest wishes,
Chari

You surely did give us drapery inspiration, Blossom. Love those pictures.

I am getting new window treatments hung in my dining room this week. I will show pictures soon.

I love the hardware, tassels and trims that are shown in your pictures.

Hi Blossom, thanks for checking out all my red yesterday! Your inspiration photos are really pretty. It gave me an idea to do a post on curtains sometime. I'm definitly not an expert, in fact, they are the hardest for me. I love simple panels because they are easy and reasonable. I'm sure you will find just the right ones! Kristen

Oh gosh, thank you so much for the ideas! I so loved the brown bedroom. I think I am sort of aspiring to that sort of room.
